BBC Radio Scotland’s version of the TV debate programme Question Time – The Big Debate with Gordon Brewer [above], is at the Corran Halls in Oban on 17th October for its weekly Friday lunchtime debate.
They are looking for a lively audience for a live debate.
Interested folk are invited to apply for a seat and ask questions – places can be booked and questions asked online here.
Doors open at the Corran Halls at 11:10am; and the show is on air from 12pm – 1pm.
Every Friday the programme visits a different part of Scotland to discuss the big issues of the week. Gordon will be joined by a panel of speakers from the world of Politics, Arts, Science, Business and other areas of public life. But BBC Radio Scotland want the audience to pose the questions.
They are looking for questions on the most stimulating moral, political and social issues of the day – the current issues that will get people talking. [You can hear Oban tuning up already. These requirements will hardly be difficult to meet.]
The programme gives the public the opportunity to challenge politicians, policy makers, writers and thinkers.
Questions should be brief and to the point and should be on something that’s been reported in the news.
As the programme broadcasts to a Scotland wide audience, they are looking for issues that raise matters of genuine national and international interest.
Once you know what you want to ask, email your question to them at: bigdebate@bbc.co.uk – by 5.30pm, Thursday 16th October. And be aware they can’t guarantee all questions will be used.
